Poutine in Hong Kong

I got an e-mail from Derek in Lachute, Québec whose son is living in Hong Kong. He had poutine at a joint called Cul de Sac which is owned by former-Montrealers. Pretty funky photo, eh? To read a review of Cul de Sac click here.
Derek is thinking of visiting his son and checked out other places that serve poutine and there were quite a few. I'm trying to convice Derek to become Poutine Chronicles' Far East correspondent. Stay tuned.

By the way, Derek's son described the poutine at Cul de Sac as "not bad." Wonder how many curds he'd give it?

I've been following you for a while and can't help but not comment on this post. I've been living in Hong Kong for quite some time now and to my knowledge there is no poutine here worth anywhere near 5 curds (IMO of course). I have tried nearly all the poutine HK has to offer and frankly most of them are worse than the average Burger King poutines. It seems that poutine is still somewhat heavy and foreign to the normal HongKonger, which is probably why there are so little places that serve it. Whenever I feel like indulging myself with poutine, I'd go to the New York Fries in Ocean Terminal, Tsim Tsa Tsui, in which I'd give a 3.75/5 curds.
